Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The submission adheres to the latest version of the APA system for citations and referencing
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • Copyright clearance has been obtained for any 3rd Party content included in submission

Author Guidelines

PRISM is currently open to submissions.

PRISM welcomes submissions from academics and practitioners of all levels and experience. Below is a list of the ways in which potential authors can contribute:

  • Original Research Articles (5000-7500 words)
  • Academic/Experimental/Policy Papers (1500-3000 words)
  • Think pieces (1500-3000 words)
  • Book Reviews (750-1500 words)
  • Blog submissions (500-1000 words)

All contributions should be submitted electronically using the PRISM article Microsoft Word Template that can be accessed and downloaded here, which includes a full list of references (using the APA referencing style). Only properly formatted draft manuscripts (using the correct template) should be submitted to PRISM:

  • If an author wishes to include figures in their manuscript, it should have a title which is formatted to be Bold and font size 10
  • If the manuscript includes images, moving imagery, figures or tables they must be placed within the text and not at the end. (For further see: PRISM Image Guidelines)
