Author Guidelines

The deadline for the submission of PATT40 full drafts of research papers is Friday 23rd June 2023. Full papers should be a maximum of 3000 words, excluding the title, authors, abstract, keywords, and references (note: full papers should not exceed 4,000 words, including everything).  Download and use the PATT40 Paper Template and the allocated Styles within this.

Please note that the printed proceedings will be in A5 format and the font sizes must not be altered – the appropriate settings for heading, body text, etc. are included in the Styles embedded in the template.

Please list all references in this section in alphabetical order. Please adhere to the APA 7th Edition referencing style (Academic Writer Tutorial: Basics of Seventh Edition APA Style - Overview)

and use the built-in References style.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • Copyright clearance has been obtained for any 3rd Party content included in submission
  • The paper aligns with one of the PATT40 conference sub-themes (as outlined on the conference website: www.patt40liverpool.com)
  • At least one author will attend PATT40 to present this paper (register at the conference website: www.patt40liverpool.com)
  • The main body of the paper has a maximum word count of 3000 words, and the entire paper (including the abstract and references) does not exceed 4000-words.
  • All author identification has been removed. All track changes and comments have been removed.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines. Download and use the PATT40 Paper Template and the allocated Styles within this.
