Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in an appropriate file format
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to stylistic and bibliographic requirements (as defined by author guidelines)
  • Copyright clearance has been obtained for any 3rd Party content included in submission

Author Guidelines

Submitting an Abstract: An abstract is a short summary of what your research is about, in no more than 300 words. Key elements to include are the research objectives and a short problem statement, the methods that were used and an overview of the key findings. The abstract is written as one paragraph, without headings or sub-headings. Citations and references are not required in an abstract.

Submitting an Extended Abstract: An extended abstract is a shortened version of your full dissertation in no more than 2,000 words. Using a report format, headings should be included that draw from the key chapters of your dissertation;

  • Introduction, including a summary of the literature
  • Methods
  • Results and findings from the analysis
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • References

Citations and references are required in an extended abstract and the Harvard Referencing Style used.

Font and spacing: Please use Times New Roman font in size 12 with 1.5 line spacing in the main text. Indented quotations, where applicable, can be single-line spaced

Margins: Top, bottom and right margin a minimum of 3 centimetres. Left margin a minimum of 4 centimetres.

Title: Please bold for your article title, with an initial capital letter for any proper nouns.

Tables and figures: If applicable, these should be numbered consecutively

Wordcount:  A typical abstract for this journal should be no more than 200 words and for an extended abstract, the word count should be between 1,000 – 2,000 words.
